Dipylidium caninum oncospheres in Ctenocephalides felis felis larva (cat flea larva) showing the host reaction to the oncospheres at 25 degrees C and 6 days post infection using TEM. Temperature was found to have a marked effect on the development of both the host and the parasite. Host reaction was more marked and prolonged at 20 - 25 degrees than at higher temperatures.
